My hospice nurse has suggested the use of morphine under my tongue in extremely small quantity to relax me and make breathing easier. I have not tried this yet, has anyone else used this treatment?

I have the same symptoms but in my right hand. Little finger and ring finger are numb and I cannot move them. My neurologist thought this might be a result of leaning on my right elbow pinching off nerves and not necessarily a symptom of my ALS.

I do feel out of breath frequently, but otherwise I feel OK for 2 1/2 years since diagnosis. I have cough assist and use BiPAP every night and occasionally during the day. Thanks for sharing and the positive feedback.
