    I don't login here everyday, but I'm happy I did today so I don't make you wait too long for a response.

    I'm sorry to hear about your situation, and wish I could say or do something to make it better. I can understand your husband's denial, but I think you are doing the right thing to strongly encourage him to get a second opinion. For me the "not knowing" was very hard, and getting a definitive answer was a help, even when it wasn't the answer I wanted. There are still possibilities other than ALS for your husband, and for many of these, the earlier it is identified the better his prognosis will be. Either way he will want to have the courage to confront this for the sake of you and your daughters. Let him know that you believe in him, and that you will be there for him no matter what, and I believe he will come around.
