    may die without diagnosis

If you were actually in end stages of ALS you would not be able to type all those posts..you get that right? That is why you are offending those with ALS or loved ones with ALS with your posts. I think maybe this thread should be closed also. I am sorry you are not feeling like you are finding...

I saw this today and although it is for spinal cord injury patients and not specifically ALS I still thought it was amazing and offers hope. The patients who have received this device are completely paralyzed chest down when device is activated they can move. It is incredible to watch this...

Hi OP, I have a lot of the symptoms you have and have had quite a few tests over the past year. Nothing definitive except my Vit D was severely low. I have past history of hyperthyroid and Hep B. No other health issues before I got sick with a virus and infection and then started to have...

    Another month of symptoms

could be a long shot but what about inner ear issues? like vertigo? could cause a balance issue. If you have normal strength and they said your muscles seem to be working fine than could be that. Good luck at your appt. Keep us updated when you can..

    choking

Hi, I think I remember one of your previous posts that said your doctors thought you had MS? DO they still think that. Your symptoms could be MS or something else. Have they done an EMG test on you? Sounds like you need to see a neuromuscular specialist. Good luck.

That is awesome news! Happy for your Dad. Sounds like maybe he has BFCS instead of ALS? Did the neuro say what it was? Anyway, hoping his foliow up will show no progression. Thanks for posting what the ALS neuro said.

    Bulbar concerns

hi, your post sounds very similar to my experience..I started with some leg weakness and twitching about 14 months ago. Went to neuro about 4 months after that and had a clean clinical as well as clean NCS/EMG test. Twitching moved to all over. Perceived weakness etc in my legs improved after...

    Does this look like atrophy?

I am not a neuro but it does not look like atrophy to me..your hand has good muscle tone overall it seems. If you have no weakness I would listen to your neuros advice to try and stop worrying!

Hi, glad you got a diagnosis..something similar happened to me last year after being sick with a virus and then a very bad cellulitis infection. My father in law is a doctor and he thought maybe I had GBarre also. But my GP and Neuro thought maybe MS or and MND. So I went for testing and they...

    Update..support/advice.

Hi Nikki, Thank you, I will mention the eye droopiness. It is intermittent so I had not mentioned it but it has happened again now and I notice I am having to kind of look up with my glasses with it sometimes to read. I have an appt on Tuesday so will talk to the doctor about that and throat...

    Update..support/advice.

thanks for replying, I worry about it because I have twitching in my lips and in my neck muscles also. So I guess having this new throat clicking symptom is just concerning to me. Believe me I am so grateful for making improvements, last year I was having so much trouble walking when I look...

    Update..support/advice.

He suggested MND before my EMG. Because I had and have muscle twitching and also weakness (which as I noted has improved). When he finished my EMG he said normal, no evidence of MND. That was all. He asked if I had any questions and I said well what do you think this is then? He said I...
