    Swelling In Feet.

Notme, Thank You for your post. I just wanted to say I do listen to you. I now understand swelling in the feet is not an ALS symptom but something that happens due to disuse in wheelchairs. I know my GP and the Neurologist said I had no Atrophy because weakness would have first proceeded it. So...

    Swelling In Feet.

I wanted to post this in my thread for foot drop but it won't let me because it is closed. From posts I know it says that before foot drop your shoes can feel loose. Today when I was walking around the shopping centre my right foot was loose in my boot. When your shoes were loose before foot...

    Swelling In Feet.

I know people are annoyed with and I'm so sorry about it but I wanted to ask, does Atrophy sometimes appear where grooves and dents in your foot already are, just making them deeper? I say this because I have a similsr 'groove' on my left foot but it is much smaller and the one on my right foot...

Just to say, the dent is only there when I have my feet flat on the ground. If I stand on my tip toes sit with my feet normally it is not there. Does this mean it is not Atrophy? Thank You

I'm so sorry to post that, I thought it was a symptom. I want to say something else but I will keep it in this thread. I woke up this morning and noticed a dent in my other right foot where I have been having mostly twitching recently. I thought I had Atrophy in my leother left foot but my GP...

    Swelling In Feet.

Just to add, can I just ask do ALS swelling in feet come on gradually? I say this because I just woke up and I think my foot looks slightly fatter. However, it still looks like a normal foot. So would the swelling come quickly in a few hours with ALS foot swelling? Thank You

    Swelling In Feet.

I made and posted with another thread with this but it is not showing up, so I am posting it again. I have some red and swollen toes on my left foot. I have noticed my toes sometimes hurt mildly when I walk for about a week, but have only noticed last night they might be swollen. They have been...

    Swelling In Feet.

Is swelling in feet a symptom of ALS? I have some swelling in my toes on my left foot. They can sometimes be a bit itchy. I know ALS can cause swelling in feet, but is it an early symptom or is it from paralysis? I googled it and foot drop came up. Is it a symptom proceeding foot drop? Thank You

    New thread - Question

Sorry to post with it but, today I have a feeling off a pulled muscle in the back of my ankle but when I dorsiflex my foot I also feel it at the front and up my shin. I can still stand on tip toes and heels today, and I think put strength pressure on dorsiflexed foot. Does that feeling sound...

    New thread - Question

So are you saying numbness in foot is usually from foot drop from other causes? and with foot drop with ALS it is not usually a symptom. I have fasciculations and I think atrophy so that is why I'm so worried.
