Last Sept I went to the dentist to have a loose filling replaced. It was on my lower left and he injected me with quite a bit of Novocaine since the root was going to be involved. Later that day as the sensation was returning, I noticed that my tongue moved more freely and my speech was sounding much better.
My tongue, which I couldn't move to the inside of my right cheek prior to the Novocaine, would now move there and even able to tent out my cheek.
As days went by my speech returned to bad, but my tongue continued to move more freely for several weeks.
My neuro had no explanation for this and we never tried to duplicate it. I wish we had!
