Hope things are going well for you. My dad just had his 78th birthday on the 11th. His breathing never was too bad yet but he does use a bi-pap at night. He was getting up 2-3 times a night but with it he sleeps completely through. His neighbors from our hometown here sent him a total of ten cards for his birthday. It made him feel really great that they took the time. Have a nice weekend and drop a note when you have time. Stay strong, Kim

Would you be so kind when you have time and read my thread on Feeling Alone on the forum other topics. I thought it was okay to post what you want on there rather it be sports, etc. I got really bashed by some when I was having a really rough hurtful and stressful day at home. I know this forum is for ALS but I didn't post in that category. Please PM me with your thoughts. I figured if people didn't want to read my posts they didn't have too. It has my name on them. my name is Tom and I am a market researcher and have a project that involves both ALS patients and their support network in Canada. The research takes 45-60 minutes over the telephone and I am offering $100 for your time and participation. If you are in Toronto, I am also looking to speak with people face to face in a downtown facility.

The research objectives of the study are very broad and no personal information is asked of you. Specific areas of discussion focus on the following:
1. Attitudes and behaviours towards ALS
2. How the ALS condition is currently managed
3. What patient services are available and being used

Please contact me if you are interested in participating or if you know of anyone that may be interested in participating in this study to better understand the challenges of living with ALS.

thinking of you today as I watched a video that i took at the falls on the way to see my family. Hope ur doing great.

I had a nice visit with my dad this past weekend when he was home for a short visit. Several of the neighbors made all kinds of goodies for him including homemade icecream. Yummy! I also got a birthday cake for him since his birthday is Sept. 11th. My husband and I actually got married on his birthday 19 years ago. Dad and mom thought I was going to live with them for ever. Marrying me off was probally the happiest day of my dad's life. lol I enjoyed looking at your latest pictures. Take care! Kim

you photo was probably turned down because of shadows on your face or lighting/camrea angle
you need to make sure you have a professional take a passport photo for your application.

On a personal note - I just applied for CPP Disability benefits and my Dr submitted the forms also. The agent told me it would 6 months even though the website says 4 months - how long did you have to wait? I need $$$ NOW for Vegas! (joke). I was just wondering...

Did you ever find any of the bracelets you were looking for? I would like one for myself, and would like to sell some, as well. Just can't figure out where to find them!
