My husband was recently diagnosed with ALS. I'm still in shock and we are trying to talk about what all we need to do. This is very difficult as I really don't know what to say to him. I hurt and I can't even begin to imagine how he feels.
He began with a dropped foot after he had a fall last summer. Then several other falls. His speech has become hard for me to understand most of the time. He gets angry when I don't understand so a lot of times I pretend to understand and nod my head. I know this is nothing compared to the mountain we will face ahead.
God bless you all for you time and help and thank you for letting me be a part of the forum. I find that most people do not know about ALS and the severity of it, I know I didn't until just a few weeks ago.
