Hey Mark, I'm new and working my way through archived topics that relate to some of my current niggles. You commented a while back about dry eyes. After a year of eye pain from what I suspected was lack of sleep or a blocked gland I went to an Ophthalmologist who immediately stated that "Floppy Eyelid Syndrome" was the issue. Drops and nightly ointment rx. a followup this week. It's worse than ever. Neuro was curious but hadn't heard of it. What has worked for you? I too have pseudo-bulbar affect with crying at the ridiculous. Almost the minute I close my eyes to nap or sleep the corneas feel glued in place and I have a heck of a time opening my eyes some mornings without pain. Once open they recover quickly. Insight? I'm all ears (and eyes). I found one study that correlates FES (seriously that is the name) with ALS, but i see no cure. I wonder if my eyelids, being floppy or loose and therefore weak, are not staying closed completely. Tape? Thanks, Aaron
