Hey thank you for this message. I am trying to stay off forums like this for my mental health. As time goes on I feel more reassured. It may be a while before I check back here, but I wanted to thank you. Also how is your dad? Thanks again, be well!

Hello. Thanks for checking in. I've tried to stay off this site but I keep getting scared just when I think the anxiety is gone. I haven't actually had anything major since that bit of atrophy last August. Today I noticed the edb muscle in my left foot is pretty much gone compared to my right...

Hi Louie! Any news? Your story sounded a lot like mine with the elbow atrophy after a year and all. Just wondering how you're doing these days?

Yeah I am in both, kind of sticking to the cervical radiculopathy group on fb for now. Those bfs folks on reddit are nice and I do think I have that to some degree. But my symptoms match so many in the cr group it has been nice to go in there and post comments.

Yeah, I did get into a Facebook group for cervical radiculopathy and there are tons of people with twitching and atrophy, so that was comforting. I hope your dad is doing well.

Hi Natewheel, Your symptoms sound so similar to mine, with tricep twitching and then atrophy. I had a similar EMG as well, attributed all to a herniated disc from a year ago. Wondering if you got any answers? The waiting game is so hard. Bergwijn

    Radiculopathy or als?

Thanks Laurie, The EMG did mention the tricep had "reduced recruitment," but I think he thought of that as a support to his conclusion that it was due to radiculopathy. If it had reduced recruitment then atrophy might be likely I suppose? It was all in one nerve branch I believe. No functional...

    Radiculopathy or als?

I have a follow-up question regarding a new symptom. I also had another EMG on my lower limbs, which showed no evidence of ALS. I passed my neuro clinical exam two weeks ago and he had no concerns. However, this week I noticed some obvious atrophy at the bottom of the left tricep where the...

Hi, hope you are well! Today I noticed some pretty obvioius atrophy down at the bottom of the tricep. It's a kind of small area, but my wife noticed it all on her own too, without me telling her. I think this might be just from the pinched nerve, but it has me nervous again. I wonder if your dad...

Curse Google indeed. Wanted to let you know I got my EMG today and the results were good. He said the results were consistent with neck injury and not als. I feel a great weight off my shoulders. Thanks for your support and help in my difficult times.

    Radiculopathy or als?

Just wanted to update you guys. Had my EMG today and the results were good. The technician said it was constituent with my neck injury and not als. Thanks for all your support. You were right.

Thank you for the continued reassurances. I like that math! I believe now (at least in my head), as my wife has been telling me all along, that the localized twitching is radiculopathy like your dad's. I continue to have random tiny twitches in the calves and thighs but I do think those are...

Thank you so much for this message, it is very reassuring to hear. I've been going out of my mind. I assume the EMG was helpful in ruling out asl?
