  • Just wanted to say hi and see how you were doing. Hope today is a good day.
Yes my mom is at home. We have a chair lift and wheel chairs. But her condition is getting worse to where we have to move her bedroom downstairs, because she doesnt have control of her trunk, and just use her hoyer lift. We started hospice last week. So its been emotionally difficult. No more showers, just bed baths, and never sleeping in her room again. It's alot for us to come to grips with. But if there is anything else you need to know, please feel free to talk. Stay strong honey, Jenny
    Hello
    Thank you!
I'm so glad that I have found this site.
My mom has been up graded to 'terminal' . Until today I had no idea that the last report her neurologist had stated much of her suffering "was in her head"
Just wanted to say hi, and welcome! I know you are going through an incredibly tough time. I also recognize some familiarities in my own family with the disease of addiction. You sound like you've got your head and heart in a really healthy place! That doesn't come without alot of work...

    Hang in there.
    Peace,
    Melody
I feel your pain/frustration with the home care. IF they show up is SO TRUE. My husband texts me with his eyegaze to tell me they didn't show. One plugged up the toilet, let it overflow, and left it for me to clean when I got home. They sometimes think anything in my fridge is fair game for them. They call me when it snows to see if my driveway is clear - they probably wouldn't show if I didn't keep shoveling 160 feet worth everytime a snowflake fell out of the sky. I could go on (I'm sure you know that). Just wanted you to know you aren't alone.
