  • Ken, I hope your teacher doted on you. You know, I did that home/hospital thing most of my adult life, and just loved it, and also was an easy grader (which is bad, I know). My "kids" are all grown up now. I'm sorry your hip was messed up, though. Not fun, I'm sure.

Crab salad roll ups--yum! I see below you're going to Orlando. Have a good trip and a great time!
    Hugs,
    Ann

Hello Ken, how are you doing? Ive been busier than a bee flying all around from seattle to SF to Fresno, to Visalia, to Sequoia Natl Park and back again. I havent even bothered to unpack yet, whats the hurry? At least until I run out of underware, lol! Its so good to be back on the forum and catch up with my buddies. Let me know what you are up to ok?
    ((HUGS))
Ken it is fricken feezing here & to top it all off we have no water AGAIN due to pipes freezing, cannot flush toilet, cannot bathe, cannot do dishes, but would give up all of this for a lifetime just to have my husband well, I am not having a good day, Don is at work & I miss him as I am home alone ( wasn't that a movie?> Bless you ken p.s. did you get a tan ???? <<<<<<<hugs>>>>>>>>
Not the restaurant, but have heard of Rock Hall. It's a bit out of the beaten path, Ken. Wherever there are crabbing villages, the crabcakes are worth eating--tending to be a lot of lump crab and little else (aside from Old Bay).

I just know, concerning loss of lip seal, you don't do well using straws for drinking (applies to me), it makes testing lung volume more difficult, and perhaps--I don't know this--makes a Bipap require a different mask? The last seems silly, however.

    Have a good night, Ken.
    Hugs!

    Hey Ken,
I have loved the beach. My parents own a farm outside of Ocean City MD so we lived at the beach very weekend. Wish I cold be at the beach every day. Right now I have no named diagnosis but Paramyotonia Congenita or an UMND. The 1st doesn't make too much sense when I was symptom free as a child. But what do I know I'm not a dr. Have no use of my left arm, shoulder and frozen neck. About 75% of a voice, and love it when I talk to someone and they back away like I'm contagious. Right leg is very weak and contracted and 3 middle toes are bent down and outer 2 toes are pointed up. You don't want to go shoe shopping with me. And this hass been just since last Nov. 1 dr says I may never get a name for it. Then does that mean no help? I am so glad to meet a South Carolinian. Your in my prayers and I am so sorry about your wife,
    Kimberly
    Hi Ken!
I'm so glad you had a great time! I've thought of you a lot--I remembered that when you got home from your cruise, you had lots to do. It's so good Lloyd is an extrovert like you and can carry the conversations. Well, you were supposed to eat well--part of the package! My prayers are with you. I hope you returned all rested up and don't need a vacation. But always the nap, right?
    Hugs and welcome back!

    Hey,
It's so good to "meet" you. I'm originally from MD but moved to Newberry, SC almost 20 yrs ago. My husband moved about 6 months before we did; I had to stay back and sell the house. He told me the 6 mos he was here he only had to wear long pants for about a month(HE LIED) or the cold followed me here. I see where you live at the beach, lucky you. I would love to move to the beach but that will nver happen. I am the mother to 6 kids (2B and 4G) and the proud grandmother to 3 grandsons from my oldest child. I had been diagnosed with Paramyotonia Congenita when I was pregnant with my 2nd child but 3 weeks after her birth no more symptoms. Now, I have an UMND with no name right now, maybe. Please send me some info on you and your family.

    Hi Ken,
I hope that your visit with the local doctor about the peg goes well. Do ask him how many he's done--according to others, that's a big factor in how it goes...you want someone with experience. (My 2 cents keeps popping up!) Are you having issues yet with eating/swallowing? I sure hope not. Good that the ramp is going up. I used a ramp next door with a walking stick to get to the yard, where I had a golf cart parked as close as possible to the ramp. That method did well for quite a long time. I was able to ride way further than I could walk, and by using my stick, collect eggs from the girls who respected my disability really well.

Yeah for your cruise this week, Ken. I hope it's lovely and warm. You do have a lot going on. Have a fine day today. I'm praying for you, too. I appreciate yours!

    Hugs,
    Ann
Hi Ken! I hope your discussions about doorways went well--meaning that it's not going to be difficult. I thought I'd surprise you by coming to your page here... and see one of Beky's (Tokahfang) incredible messages. An amazing woman.

So, are you having fun? I know you're staying busy. Tiring days for me both yesterday and today.

    Hugs!
    Ann
