My first symptoms were unexplained weaknesses. I did not get to situations until several years into disease. Nothing ever seems to ache Or hurt. I had a great deal of weakness before the atrophy was visible. And I'm sure you know that your age this is a very low risk for you. I think the stress of medical school is getting to you, which is completely to be expected. Without the weakness it cannot be ALS.I hope that helps.
