  • It's election time.I'm on the ballot.I have to work as a judge at the opposing polls.I'm headed for trouble, probably,I'm glad you are a successful patient.I'll write after the 5th.Love,Charlotte(limping)
Here I am Charlotte. How have you been doing? I overdid it exercising a couple of days ago and paid for it in muscle pain. Recent EEG came back normal. But something is going on that nobody can label. I have general body weakness and still have those pesky muscle twitches. I had terrible leg cramps yesterday morning probably induced by overexercising. Scheduled for carpal tunnel surgery the 28th.
How is your leg? You do still have it don't you? Sorry for the delayed response, I don't have any real excuse, just tired most of the time. So many of my meds have side effects of dizzyness, sleepyness, lethargy, and the like. Later gal.
Well yes, if you puncture the spinal cord. But those instances rarely, if ever, happen. I remember the main challenge was getting just the right amount of dye into the right places otherwise you could give the patient one hell of a headache. Like any other invasive procedure it carries it's own minimal risk but the good far outweighs the risk.
Carpal tunnel surgery scheduled for Sept 22nd. It's a 10 minute operation done under local anesthesia according to my neurosurgeon. I used to assist in myelograms. One thrust of the needle in the wrong direction and Bingo. Hope you feel better.
Today,my enter button is sticking. My knee on my thinner leg is aching.I hope the bone doesn't break. My boyfriend just got a new pt.in his nursing home.He weighs 450 pounds.I guess I won't see him for awhile.I'd really love to have a mylegram of my thoracic and cervical areas, it's just a risky procedure and I really do not want to think about Docs for awhile. When's your surgery?Yuck.
Oh God Charlotte, stop thinking amputation. You'll have phantom pain anyway so forget about it. Saw my neurosurgeon today and he says I should be healed by now. So I got another strength test and passed. He ordered an MRI of the surgical area which I am having tomorrow. Also scheduled surgery for my carpal tunnel problem before permanent damage is done, scheduled for Sept. 22. Stiff as in my skin feels tight on both legs accompanied with lots of fatigue, mostly in the sides of the thighs. Fasciculations are slowly going away(I think). Again, I'm better in the morning and worse at bedtime and don't move much during the day. If my neurologist say no ALS then I'm thinking it's spinal compression mostly cervical and lumbar.
I read where Linda passed away. She must have been well thought of judging from the responses.
Hope you feel better soon, and remember to keep all your limbs, INTACT.
Yes, she did. Sorry your uncomfortable. What's the weather like there?Could that be the cause of your stiffness? What symptoms are you having from the cervical stenosis?Numbness and tingling?Hands?
I've just been depressed, no big deal.My legs getting weaker. I'm thinking amputation now.
HI, no, not really. My back pain and leg pain have increased lately. And I feel "stiff" all over.I don't know if I'm exercising too hard or it's something else. I'm also more tired. My wife has a bug that I may have gotten. Anyway I see my neurosurgeon tomorrow about the pace of my recovery. I also have carpal tunnel and cervical stenosis to deal with. I don't want to live in the OR but it looks like more visits are likely. How's about you? Did Linda pass yet?
I cannot take planes at all anymore.Really had a hard time when I flew over the ocean.I've always been fearful of heights and not being able to get out of a place when I want to.Archie, you don't have
fibs, you said. You can't feel them anyway.Glad your fasics stopped.I'm sure that's annoying.Scuba diving never bothered me, the heights thing is bad.Why don't you try putting two pillows under your lumbar spine and laying on the floor like that for 10-15 minutes? That might help. Not sure.
