Hi well this subject is obviously a controversial one as you can tell. From what I have seen and read and observed from the disease, I have found 3 profound truths 1) twitching is non-diagnostic of ALS 2) twitching without the presence of clinical not percieved weakness is considered non-pathological 3) the physiology of the disease holds true that with regards to fascics, if they are present as a part of pathological consequence, then the EMG is sufficient to detect the pathology at anytime. This is not to say that a BFSer will not develop the disease being that the prevalence holds true to all population. It is useless to worry yourself, I have migraines and sometimes blurry vision but it is ridiculous for me to sit in a constant state of worry and have an oncologist on speed dial for fear one day I may develop brain cancer. Hope this helps
