  • Hi Blake,

I don't know if you are still visiting this forum, but I just wanted to say I read your post and wanted to reach out since we're close in age and both caring for our moms (and balancing that with studying).

I'm just a bit older than you (26) and my mom was diagnosed Oct/13. At the time I was living on the opposite side of the country (Canada) from her and doing the prerequisite courses and entrance exam for medical school. My applications are complete now and I am spending time with my mom. It was really hard to accept being away from her for that time, but I have to say -- she was so proud of my marks on my entrance exam. She tells all her health care team folks about it. It's been a happy and normal proud-mom part of this whole terrible experience with her illness. I hope your graduation is the same <3

Wishing you and your mom the best in hard times,

    Kat
