That's wonderful Joni! How sweet of them.

Very cool...I have to say I love hearing stories about kindness and the best of humanity. We are constantly bombarded with stories about the worst of humanity while act's of kindness are overlooked. Thanks for sharing Joni.

They have a web page where you can get a quilt..Good people..

That is so nice, you know they were made with love. Kind of like those little knitted hats for babies at the hospitals.I was looking at this magazine at a Dr. office the other day. They had a table cloth that they had all the family members sign at Christmas, they ever tracked a little kids hand, then they embrioded over the signatures and hand prints and little messages, even had a baby foot print. Pretty cool, It showed through the years.

we got one last year! so so sweet!

My daughter still has her project Linus quilt from when she was in the NICU

After reading these posts I looked up their web site and called to request a lap quilt for my husband. I spoke to Kathy Thompson whose son has ALS. She works with the Virginia ALS Association in order to help raise awareness of ALS and to help provide comfort to our ALS friends and family. I told her I'd heard about her organization from this web site and she was pleased to know that it was posted on here. She is sending a patriotic quilt for my vet.

Hopes and Dreams

I know this will go to a moderator but that's ok too! I thought it was important for our ALS friends to know about this wonderful group.

My sister won a raffle at our local quilt shop, and was amazed that the prize included batting from this company, with info about their ALS quilts. Maybe one of our forum friends will get the lap quilt she made !

Yet another story that renews my faith in humanity.
Thanks for sharing.

So glad some of you are going to be recieving a quilt:)

I sent for one too! Its like getting wrapped in a big hug from very compassionate folks!

Our red, white and blue patriotic quilt came today. Handmade by Kathy in Maine. So delighted to wrap my husband in a new warm quilt since the cold front is blowing in tonight.

Oh how pretty!

I just clicked on that link... but I am confused. How do I get one for my PALS? All I see is info on sending quilts in... not receiving them.
