This was a lifesaver for our family. If we had it sooner we could have prevent a serious back injury to one caregiver. Allows easy transfers to wheelchair, reclining chair or toilet (works with standard toilet, not just commode). The standing sling allows the PAL to wear regular clothing without any problems with toileting. The slings slip on and off while a person is seated so the PAL isn't always sitting in the sling (helps prevent pressure sores) or requiring a second person to help with sling positioning. This device allows one person to easily do all the care for a completely immobile individual. It doesn't work for a person with no muscle tone but it can make life much better in the interim. We used it until our PAL was confined to a bed. Comes with both transport and standing sling. $1600 or best offer
We also have a power wheelchair with upgraded seat and removable foot rests (for easy transfers). The seat tips zero to ninety degrees at the press of a button making it comfortable through all stages of
ALS. This chair has more options than we were even able to make use of. Originally cost more than a new car (because of the fancy seat) but we will are willing to take any reasonable offer, we are happy to help another PAL.
