Tommy,
I have a chair, but interested in the sip n puff attachment.

hey tom.... im actually not sure if the sip n puff is suitable for ALS .... my dad was a quad from a spinal cord injury 26 yrs ago... his 2010 invacare chair was identical to my ex father-in-law(sons grandpa) who passed last year from ALS(hence how i wound up on this site as well as spinal cord injury forums)... except for the sip-n-puff feature..... you would have to do some research on that.... i know that when my father-in-law got close to "the end" his speech diminished to nothing so maybe the sip-n-puff would have been challenging or non-applicable.... but for some time it would probably would have been liberating..... also not sure how i would go about selling the chair piece by piece or how it would affect it overall....(thinking i should keep it intact for optimal performance for someone who needs the chair w sip-n-puff) .. im open to suggestions etc.... thanks, tommy

Thanks Tommy,
I have been doing a little research. For me, use of my arms and legs, and lung function, have dropped alot, but voice, swallowing are unaffected. So a sip n puff would be helpful, help me to put off a trache as long as possible. But, I don't know how integrated it is with the chair, and it certainly makes sense to keep it together if possible. No rush, let me know.
Tom
