We are selling a used DynaVox Vmax and EyeMax system. My mother had ALS and made good use of it, especially in her final days. It's an excellent tool that she would have been lost without.
The DynaVox EyeMax System is the newest, most advanced access method available to communicators who use the DynaVox Vmax. It is comprised of two parts: a DynaVox Vmax+/Vmax and a DynaVox EyeMax Accessory. The EyeMax System allows augmented communicators to access their Vmax+/Vmax with a simple blink, or by dwelling on a desired area of the screen. This allows the user to access saved phrases and words as well as type messages all with the use of their eyes. The alarm function has also proven very useful, especially in the middle of the night. This too can be accessed with the blink of your loved one's eyes.
The DynaVox is a wonderful tool. In addition to having the functionality of a home computer, including internet access, it can be used to communicate, access the radio, control the television and more. The USB ports come in handy to upload pictures or music and even connect a keyboard for caregivers if they prefer.
We got it new about 2.5 years ago for approximately $15,000. The system is in excellent working and cosmetic condition. It comes with a stand which is easy to slide under a hospital bed, as well as all necessary cords and manuals. Anyone with basic computer knowledge will have no trouble operating this user friendly system. We have pictures and are willing to ship anywhere within the continental United States. We are asking $6000 obo. to help with medical and other expenses.
