Noticed this was now approved for ALS use and Medicare has coded it. Disclaimer: no personal experience, but developed x a Respironics/Apria team FWIW.

The site is full of O2 verbiage since it launched first for COPD, but it takes "regular air" as well.

Life2000 -- wearable vent, nasal prongs interface, charges/runs on battery, AC, DC.
 
Very interesting. Could be great for Bulbar and respiratory onset ALS. Dragging a cart to haul a vent can't be much fun for those who can still walk.Can't find a picture of it though.

Congratulations Laurie! You made it to #4 on the Google search list with that single post about the new vent. Do you know how hard it is to get to the first page of a Google search?
