burning hands and feet

My husband hands are always so hot. Like they are burning. It really bugs him because they are swelling and hurt if they touch each other. I am always helping him separate each finger. His feet on the other hand are cold and staring to swell regularly. Is this normal?

It is a normal response to what is happening but it needs attention.

Elevation helps with swelling and massage, ROM and any kind of movement you can produce is important.

You need to keep circulation happening as much as possible as the retained fluid causes problems with the swelling, fungal skin infections from all the hot creased areas and possible blood clots.

Massage needs to be gentle, stroking towards the heart to help move fluids out of the affected areas.
