tablets or devices with more volume needed

my PALS is still working but lost the ability to talk before almost everything else. He is currently using a kindle, phone, and PC with apps to comunicate but needs one with more volume to be heard more clearly at work.
Has anyone found a device that you find has more volume capability than others? He really likes the slide feature on the keypad, too, and would like to keep it. So far, his hands are working well and we're hoping he has more time before that starts to go.
We just need louder more than anything else at the moment.

you can get external wireless speakers of all shape and sizes that connect to your device through bluetooth. We have a speaker about the size of a baseball--works pretty well.

I have a Bluetooth speaker that is wireless and the volume can be turned up or down. It is a Logitech and looks like a cylinder tube. Very nice and he can listen to music through it. He should be able to bluetooth it right to his kindle.
