If you are a Windows user, I think you can do that with Control Panel->Mouse properties ...
 
There are a lot of options under mouse properties, but you can't "turn off" right click from there. You can switch left for right and right for left in properties, but that didn't fix my issue.
 
Ah so ... I misunderstood the goal. You can do that thru the registry. this is how I disable caps lock.
 
Yes it can be done through the registry. This program "hacks" the registry without digging through it. Most people don't feel comfortable modifying the windows registry, or even know how.
I also used a keyboard shortcut to assign right click content to a different mouse button.
 
For Mac users, easy to do this and more in System Prefs/Keyboard and Mouse. Switching from mouse to Magic Trackpad also offers more flexibility if you are not yet ready for alternative input devices. For those interested in controlling the Mac via dictation, Dragon Dictate has a new, better version (4.0) out.
