Swivel bath seat made a difference

Today is a good day. Got mom into the bath and to our delight, everything went ok. Our ALS care service coordinator, Caryn, brought us a new swivel seat and some other "goodies". Caryn is simply wonderful. It is hopeful now that my parents will welcome another helper to enter the home. Well back to the seat... last time mom took a bath, dad accidently dropped her foot and bruised her rib. She told me she had anxiety for 2 days before a scheduled bath. Today: mom is clean and content (for now - but I'll take it). I called it our "spa day".

i'm sure your mom is very content. i love getting a shower, for one i'm warm and it feels soo good. hope she can look forward to her spa days with less anxiety

So happy for your mum, and for you too of course. We're very fortunate to have such amazing support from our ALS Societies. For us, they were always a step ahead of progression and all much needed equipment arrived days before we needed it. Yasmin.
