It seems to me that this could be a good starting point in developing a better lift system for disabled people. My daughter will be entering a Capstone Engineering program this fall at her high school. Her stated project is going to be developing just such a lift system. I don't know about everyone else here but all of the devices we looked or tried had one or more major deficiencies. Here's hoping she can come up with something better....

I'm with you Dick, I would love to see the technology used to develop a better lift system. That's not to say that it isn't completely fascinating as a walk assist, it just seems that as a lift system, it would have a broader audience.
