Now that I have started using the ventilator and a full face mask to maintain energy during the day, I have been suffering, after a couple of hours on it, from popping of ears which results in loud distracting amplification of my breathing sounds. This never happens when laying down,
Any tips...

hospital where has spent two weeks...
So happy with my response to doing breath stacking exercise. I was thinking that magnesium was helping, but the exercise has allowed me to be independent of daytime ventilator use, and I don't get distressed now, when I am laying on my back either in bed or the wheelchair.
Magnesium Citrate
I must have been deficient in magnesium. Last year, I stopped taking it because of stomach irritation. Recently I resumed it in the form of magnesium citrate.
Not only is it helping bowel function, my air hunger is gone and I am back to using the ventilator only at night...
