Hi, 4-5 months ago I was posting here explaining my symptoms, the situation is more difficult now.
When I use my arms I feel tired in the muscles, I have fasciculations, mostly in my two arms, I feel something weird in the diaphragm, in the right and left sides, near to my shoulders.
Since...
Background: I've seen PCP, I've Seen a Neurologist. I have been prescribed a blood test, and EEG and an EMG. The EMG is sort of on hold right now because we are having trouble finding a place that accepts my insurance.
I presented to the ER 3 days after Christmas with a pain in my head and...
Hello all and thank you in advance.
My name is Mike. I'm 25 years old, turning 26 next month. Surprisingly, in the face of what I wholeheartedly believe is an onset of ALS, I'm doing an okay job of trying to stay calm, but still very worried.

Two years I started experiencing random muscle twitches. I visited a Neurologist and after his examination he recommended an EMG to rule out anything serious (like ALS). They did a Nerve Conduction Study and EMG and everything was completely normal.
Fast forward to this year and the twitching...
2 prior EMGs (Nov & Dec) with neurologist #1 noted chronic denervation, resulting in a "Possible ALS" diagnosis. First EMG (Aug) did not show any issues. Dr #1 was clear that lack of muscle weakness/atrophy after 9 mos of continuous fasciculations and cramping was encouraging. Next EMG in 3...
Happy to say no weakness other than rubbery legs but I’ve read that some ALS presents as sudden widespread fasics. Needless to say this is freaking me out. I’ve also read that ALS fascics are very frequent. Mine are nonstop and occur every few seconds. Every day is a new symptom. I have...
