It's not a problem with the server Ruby, it's an issue with your computer... You should try installing a more up to date version of your browser and see if that fixes the problem.

After a few visits and posts you will be listed in the members area - promise

The system is automated and doesn't occur right away

By the way, nice profile picture, looks a bit like mine, very tranquil

Default Thanks

David,

Thanks 4 letting me know about the members list. Sure, you complimented me on my choice of picture (Northern Minn.) and then I go and change it! Didn't think it could be seen very well?! I could just walk into your picture!
Again my thanks,
Denise

Default Help again please

David,
Don't know how this works...please expl. Just looked at 'my posts', it says: "views and replies". Are those replies to me from that particular post? If so, I either didn't get them or I don' know where to get them from. ????
Please assist, thanx Denise

I think Hope was ocncerned about some threads with objectionable content and links to non-ALS related sites. Our internet went out for a bit so it took me until almost noon to clean up the threads. Don't know why people spend time registering on a board like this just to try to sell viagra or worse! Cindy

OK i didn't get on till 1230 so you had cleaned up the mess before I got here. I did ban a couple of posters this afternoon after seeing their content. Thanks for the sharp lookout guys.

Default not sure if this is where to post

I can't seem to look at profiles anymore. I read about needing to post a certain number of times before you can pm people. I'm not inclined to pm or post, I mainly just search for information. It is nice to look at profiles occasionally to see where people are from...like when they use "ya'll." They sound like they might be from around my area. So do I need a certain number of posts before I can do that?

Shelly, CALS for Eddie who is still being diagnosed but we are pretty sure it is ALS.

I have a BIG problem with this site. IT IS TOO GOOD.
I can't get any work done around the house because there is so much information here and such good people that I find myself glued to the puter reading and reading all the time.

I know you are currently going through a few bumps here and there, but be encouraged, you are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.

God Bless

I'm curious about privacy issues. There was a question of privacy on another site and while on that site I googled my user name on google. What came up was a number of posts that I had made on this site. Just curious... Is there a way to make my posts more private?

Thanks

Sharonca

Sharonca,

Unfortunately not; the site is a public forum for people affected by ALS therefor all threads and posts (other than private messages) are public domain.

If you'd like more annonymity, you could use a less telling username (something other than your actual name); a pseudonym or "pen name" of sorts.

Cheers,

David
