When did that start? Never needed approvals from moderators before.

Brand new members need approval for their first few posts to make sure spammers don't make it through. After that, they're good to go. However, if any member posts links or a few hot words the forum algorithm doesn't like, it'll also put it through to moderation. That hasn't changed.
