Do you know there is an ignore user list?

So say a particular user on the forum just irritates you and you are tired of seeing their posts. Did you know you can add them to your own ignore user list? To do so, go over to their public user profile (which you can do by clicking on their name on one of their posts and selecting View Public Profile). Under their name you should see a blue bar with User Lists. Under the User Lists menu, select Add to Ignore List.

After that you won't see the contents of their posts in a thread.
