Oh what the heck? I'll bow towards Toronto too! GrampAl gets a Toronto pin even though he says that he is from NW of TO.
Ok everyone get your pins here, no cost, no obligation, no salesman will visit you! You cannot be refused inclusion no matter what your medical history!

Your friend, the grammar guy.
Santa Barbara, CA | Actually, trying to remember my grade-school grammar here, I think the original "Keeping track of who is from where" is correct. The "who" is subject of the clause "who is from where", not the object of the preposition "of".

We live in Woodward, Oklahoma. Woodward is the last town you hit before you are in the panhandle of Oklahoma.
Geo~ I have a brother and sister in law living in Peoria. It is a small world, indeed.

My husband is 52 with an dx in 2006. He has worked in the "oil field" all his life. I would be very interested to know if there is a large number of ALS and neurological diseases with people working in this area.

NW of Toronto would be Orangeville but technically we live in East Garafraxa Township but have an Orangeville postal address. Easier to put NW Toronto.

Ok Al, I moved you out of Toronto and Google Maps knows where East Garafraxa is so there you are!

| Touchy subject but curious
Has anyone ever done a study by race for ALS. It seems we have very few members of color on the Forum. Not sure how to put that with todays PC stuff. Just seems fewer people of color, Orientals, etc. have this just from the sampling here?
I hope this question does not offend anyone. I was wondering if there is some sort of predisposition for Caucasians.
The only member I have know on here was Netty's Freddie. Surely there must be more?

Interesting map!
Dad lives in suburban Milwaukee, WI in a city called Menomonee Falls, WI. He just moved here last week from the northern part of the state.
DH and I just drove to FL and back two weeks ago and had I known I'd pass so many of you, I would have waved!

Capt. Al ... I think that's a good question.
The mother who was being evicted who was being helped by Stu is African American, and an African American PALS on Patients Like Me has a current post asking if there are others in the group, but was not getting any responses. I've read that ALS is spread evenly among all ethnicities. If that is true, it sounds like our support groups are not reaching out enough to the whole ALS community. P.S. ... I can't find the link now in which you suggested enrolling people in Beth U, but I checked with the Dean of Students at Beth U and it seems you are qualified for an advanced degree! If you'll PM me your name and address, I can get your diploma off to you. And certainly will share all future tuition income with you for your great idea!. |

Putting my address as the liquor store in town.
Yes , I live in town.
Yes , the people at the store know me (its a small town)
No , I do not go there often enough to say that is where I live.
