Would never do the Grand Canyon! I'm way to scared of heights! Just managed to get on a plane for the first time 2 years ago! Jumping out of one is definately out of the picture! Did an on ramp in Dallas to the freeway and Ray laughed the whole time! I was screaming and just the force of my will kept us from flying off!

Colleen, that is too funny! I can just imagine you screaming and Ray laughing. My younger sister used to refuse to go on the ferris wheel when we were kids and would actually be screaming on the ground when I went up. She grew out of the screaming but still cant stand heights. It is funny how people can be so different, I used to be a mountain climber when I was younger and heights dont really bother me. The Grand Canyon is so spectacular that you really do have to see it to believe it. I want to see this:

Great for you! Jim and I went there for our 1st anniversary - what a great memory! (hard to belived it was 10 years ago this week!) Hope you enjoy yourselves and have nice weather.

I'm standing here, clickling my heels together three times and making all sorts of sordid wishes.

Someone give me a pair of ruby slippers! I don't think bedroom slippers are working!

Barry! That was not kind posting that pic! My knees got wobbly just looking! Did I mention we were also towing a car? I had to keep both on! One lane, no sides? Torture!

Analogy of The Wizard of Oz and ALS-> Zaphoon needing ruby slippers has prompted my thinking!
The yellow brick road is the path that ALS has taken you on.
The scarecrow, lion and tin man are the helpful people you meet on the ALS forum that help keep you on the right path.
The Wicked Witch is ALS but will be defeated by your courage and the support of your friends and family.
The great and powerful oz is the scientist or doctor that are searching for a cure.
At the Emerald City Zahpoon taps the bedroom slippers together and realizes there is no place like home and the ALS forum

I love and collected the Wizard of Oz my entire adult life!
The story has great meaning!
No Ruby slippers needed to make wishes come true.

Hope everyones wishes come true today

Sorry Colleen!! My bad. Come out to the mountains sometime and we can go for a hike. Or maybe up the sky tram.

"sky tram?!"gasp, shudder, tremble! lived in B.C. would love to hike! Never the sky tram. Did when I was younger and not afraid of heights. Broke a wrist, found out I was not indestrucable. No more heights for me! (by the way I do own rubber slippers!) And I don't buy the apology! I can hear the sarcasm dripping. :P Got to keep you away from Ray!
