On this beautiful Sunday afternoon, we grabbed the opportunity to enjoy the weather in the vibrant green spring of the Eastern Cascade mountains. Following the Little Naches River, and passing a herd of white-tail deer, we arrived at Horse Tail Falls.
The short walkway from the road brought us among multitudes of bright sparkling sunbeams dancing down through overhanging cotton woods. The 75 degree air carried the sweet scent of tree blossoms. Framed by the rich green trees, Horse Tail Falls plunges over a sixty foot basalt cliff, the base of the falls hidden by the dense foliage.
It is a blessing to live within an hour's drive of so much beauty.
