I went today. We sang, prayed for you all, watched a DVD and had a discussion. The only way for me to get through this horror is to give it over to God.

I agree with you.

Even though Bible study, attending church etc doesn't mean we are Christians, I don't feel complete as a Christian without them.

Entering church, I can feel my troubles being lifted from me.
By the end of the service, I feel renewed spiritually.

We don't have regular Bible study at my church. We did have a Lenten season study, and it was amazing.

Thank you for sharing your experience today. Being linked to people through faith is very fulfilling.
 
I am not actively Christian, but I recently heard a beautiful thing from someone who is, He lost his wife recently, and said that the burden was too great for him, so he laid it "at the cross", with Jesus. I loved that somehow and was comforted by it.
 
Kim at mass tonight the sermon was about kairos time verses chronos time.

Fr Gerard translated it to

Quality of time verses quantity of time.

I thought of you.

May the quality of your spiritual life keep you strong.
