Default Poem I wrote

After pondering the meaning of Palm Sunday being a fulfillment of a prophesy 500 years earlier, I wrote this poem (a few years back.) I hope it prepares your heart for Easter.

You rocked their world

They expected a powerful king
You came as a humble servant

They hoped for conquest through war
You gave them victory at the cross

They cried for retribution
You told them to turn the other cheek

They wanted a ruler to crown
You washed their feet

Their mantra was holier than thou
Yours was love

They held high pride, honor, and wealth
You told them blessed are the humble, the meek, and the poor

You rocked their world
You saved my soul

Default Re: Poem I wrote

Kim, I just saw this wonderful post. Your poem is full of particular instances in which our Lord demonstrated the truth of Is 55:8-9

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Thanks. And may the grace from the One whom you know so well, and the peace that surpasses all comprehension continue to enfold you in Himself.
