April is the best time to visit Keukenhof
I went to Keukenhof in mid April 2009 (15-18 Apr) and the flowers were simply beautiful, all were in full bloom.
There are tulip fields near Keukenhof actually and most were blooming, and even on the way there we could see tulips and tulips and tulips.
There are plenty of flowers to see in the pavilions and tubs - those planted directly in the ground were a mixture of some in bloom and some barely above the ground.
Willem Alexander pavilion had lots of tulips in full bloom. Oranje Nassau had lots of different cut flowers which were gorgeous and filled the pavilion with scent.
