It is so difficult sometimes to pray that God's will be done. I struggle with that on a regular basis. But I also know that His will is perfect, and will carry on despite what happens here in my physical body.
"I will never leave you or forsake you." That is my steadfast truth.

Thanks be to God, my husband and I can get out of bed in the morning. Literally. God is with us each day.
Before my husband showed signs of this horrible disease, he worked and drank 24/7. Our life was a horrible sham.
Since his dx, our family has re-dedicated our lives to Christ. Greg goes to Sunday School on good days. We entertain church friends in our home and he has learned how to pray with ease. Praise God! We both need him for this journey.
I rather like I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me... amen!!

| God sent me something very special!
Just about a week shy of sixteen years ago God sent me the most precious gift there is.
My daughter!
My husband & I had been trying to conceive for quite awhile. I had two surgeries to try and correct my problems, two ectopic pregnancies and several tries of invitro fertilization.
Finally I gave up and we put our efforts into adopting. All that time that we were trying, I would cry every month and ask God "why?" Little did I know what God had in store for me! Within six months of even thinking about adopting we had our beautiful four day old daughter.
Now if I can only remember that when those sixteen year old hormones kick in!
Just kidding........I love her even on her worst days! |

That is what an Awesome God we serve.
I have had a strange and wonderful journey, I had three kids early and after 10 years with their dad we divorced. I really felt I had done such a disservice to my kids at that time.I prayed that God would find a way to make me feel restored, and as anyone reading this thread knows, God is in the restoration business. So even though I felt like not so good a mother, God said I am going to trust you with 4 more, is that not just like God. I adopted those 4 kids and with all 7 I feel so blessed, even though there may be days I ask God if maybe He gave me more than I can handle. Then I am reminded of one of my favorite verses were He tells us, He never gives us more than we can handle.

| Hope and Faith keep us going, day by day Romans 8:
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
One day in heaven maybe we will understand it all; the many questions we have all faced in life. God has a master plan for each of us. If we will only trust Him and yield to that His will. As the prayer goes thy will be done.
That is so easy to say yet so hard to workout in real life each and every day. You and I are a work in progress. Do not lose hope or faith.

| Please pray for me during this week.
I have been asked to take part of the service on Sunday. It is a large church and there are 4 separate services.
Now, here is why I need lots of prayer. I get tired quickly when talking, because of having a trache and vent and would have to do 4 services. I know the Lord can give me the strength to do this so I would appreciate your prayers!
I want to share how the Lord has blessed us through this and that God does not make mistakes.
I want to share His faithfulness and that He also provides everything we need if we ask and then trust Him.
Of course I will also be making everyone aware of ALS!
Thank you!

| Praying for Joel
We agree with you in prayer for super natural strength, wisdom, anointing, peace, and courage as you speak. It is such a blessing to know you will be given this opportunity to share the HOPE that is within us. God is so good.

Thank you for your prayers! I survived the day and God was glorified because of you! I am very tired now and it will likely take a day or two to get back to normal. I praise God for the 4 attentive audiences I had. It is amazing to see how people listen to what God has given you to say when they see you in a wheelchair and dependent on a ventilator to breathe.
God be PRAISED!
A couple of thousand more people now know of ALS.

ISA 26:3-4 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

My prayer is that those of us who know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, will seek to know and understand His Absouute Soverignty in our lives. God is soverign in what He allows in each of our lives. We must not look inward at our circumstances and become downcast, but we must lift our eyes and keep our minds on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter or our faith. He is doing a work in each life, and we must bend to what He wants to do in and through us. We must give Him glory in every circumstance. Even though we can't understand, we must know that whatever trials we go through is meant for His glory and for our good.
I have found that I have been able to communicate God's strength, peace, amazing grace, mercy and love so much more now, then before I was dx with this disease.
We who know the Lord, have that great resurrection hope!! Someday we will be free from this body that imprisons us and we will live forever with Him in our new glorified body. Praise be to God, for His ways are truly unsearchable.!!
