Default Pill crushers

I just tried to post this in the PEG section but it rejected it for some reason.

Anyway:

Anyone want to recommend an awesome pill crusher?

I have one of these guys (https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....PL._SY355_.jpg) but it takes a lot of strength to deal with it.

I also had this syringe (http://www.vitalitymedical.com/media...yringe-820.png) but it just broke as I was trying to crush some pills. Oops.

Anything better than these?

Default Re: Pill crushers

Most good crushers that I would recommend would require strength for twisting, etc.

Depending on what the pills are, warm water soaks in a tiny plastic cup and then using more of a shake method might work, before pouring the slurry + warm water in the tube.

We have a granite pestle and mortar that I bought online. It works well.

I have one of those but have only used it for cooking. I would think it would take a bit of strength and coordination to crush a pill.

Mortar and pestle works best. It crushes the pills into a fine powder that has no way of clogging the syringe or tube. Maybe that's why you see them on pharmacy signs.

I bought a battery power pill crusher online called a NNOVEA. Bought it about a year ago and it works fine, crushes all my vitamins and pills twice a day and then my wife puts them trough my PEG because I can not stand the taste of them. I think the cost was about fifty bucks.
