Seeing in the dark
With eyes closed, quiet in the night.
Listen to the whispers in your heart.
You would be amazed on what you hear.
The sound of your own breathing.
Thoughts of a day now complete.
Thoughts of tomorrow yet to come.
And yes, thoughts of fear.
Not being able to grasp a simple question.
Why am I still here?
I'm not special, poor as a church mouse.
I live day to day like everyone else.
I look up and marvel at those that do inspire.
This I do know. I'm here for reason.
Even if that reason is never revealed to me.
So I just continue to be me.
Live well and dance in your underpants.
