Default Cap on g-tube

I had a g-tube placed back in Oct. The one with the 6" tube protruding and a 2 port cap. I use it for crushed pills only. The nexium granules discolor the cap and now the tab for opening the cap is coming off. It clearly needs to be replaced, just the part with the 2 ports not the tube itself. Is this a doctor thing or can one purchase the end piece and do it yourself?

Default Re: Cap on g-tube

I been having problem with my cap on the gtube as well. The cap flips out, the feed tube seems to push the o ring down inside the cap and have to fiddle with it to get the cap to stay in place. Had a huge mess in our vehicle, the seat belt cught the clamp, and by the time I smelled the regurg in the tube, I had a volcano like eruption of bile and partly digested feed all over me, the interior of the vehicle etc. It was a mess, all because the cap did not seal properly.
