What I learned form my dad:

The things I have learned from my dad that I have taken to heart:

Take life as you would a putt, slow and sure, never let anyone rush you.

Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance

RTFM

It is easier to measure twice and cut once than to do it twice

If it was easy everyone would do it

Engineering is the foundation to any career

It is easier to defend your answer when you show your work

Lawyers are the parasites of the world

Quality

The powers of 2

The best things in life will never come from little green pieces of paper

Hard work

Do it right the first time.

If you screwed up the first time, figure out what you did wrong and learn from it.

I keep these lessons with me and will pass them on to my children when they become ready to learn them. You taught me a lot and I could never ask for a better father. I love you.

"You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth." Khalil Gibran

Sounds like the bow was a trusted and sturdy one. Well done...

Jim

Congratulations Max...you and Sandy have done a wonderful job. Its these reminders of how much you Pals mean to us that make such a difference.

Me, too! Max, you can live on that note for many days. What a beautiful tribute to you. ALS won't get the legacy you have given your children! Know you are having a GREAT day! Donna

>Know you are having a GREAT day! Donna

this was a BIG surprise :)

Lucky dad, Indeed Max.

>Know you are having a GREAT day! Donna

this was a BIG surprise :)

I know, right? just when you think they haven't listened to a dam thing you have said!

Great Dad, great son!

Well done, Dad.

Max it's these unexpected confirmations from our children that mean the most. Just when you wonder, they can turn around and show that indeed they were listening and observing all those years you thought they were doing anything but.

I love the list, you must be beaming proud :)

>you must be beaming proud

well beaming bemused ...

Congratulations on a job well done, Max. I'm guessing some of those lessons were taught more than once before they caught on?

You have a very thoughtful son.

Aw! that is so sweet! I think he is saying I love you and I always did! You just never know the impact you have on your child!

You did a great job, Max.
