Anyone out there with a PEG tube pour happy hour drinks in there? Specifically bloody mary , gin & tonic and beer...

The leader of my ALS support group told us about a guy who drinks his beer through hip peg and also wine. He says he can taste it when burbs lol. I'm getting a peg soon and do like a beer a few times a week.

I know others who do this. In fact lots of people blend their meals and use wine to thin the mix so it will flow freely through the tube.

I would think it is okay as long as the person doesn't take any meds that don't mix well with alcohol.

Make sure you "tube" responsibly!

I wouldn't recommend putting alcohol in your peg. It may seem like it would be relaxing at first. But, in the long run you will end up being more depressed. Trust me! Not a good idea.

I know people who enjoy their " tube lube libations"...

One in particular, a few weeks ago, had a huge hangover and it wasn't pretty. Lasted a long time. Course an entire pitcher of margaritas was a bit much! Even by mouth, it's a bit much.
