Used a mobile battery for my bipap on a recent plane trip. Worked great!

Dear TripleG,
More info please, what type of battery, how long does it last in hrs, and what type BiPap
do you have?
thanks,Pat

It's a Mobile CPAP Battery Pack. I have a VPAP that I've had since my diagnosis in March, 2009. Have been keeping the bipap hooked up to the battery pack in case of power failure (which occurred Friday night). When the power went out, the battery kicked in automatically. I understand it lasts about 8 hours. I rented the one I used on the plane, but it worked so well that I bought one. Because ALS attacked my respiratory system first, I am now using the bipap most of the time. Having a battery pack that I can use in the car is great! Gary

Dear Triple G,
I too started my ALS in my diaphragm and use my bipap almost all the time. Thank you so much for the information.
Have a merry and blessed merry Christmas.
Pat

Sounds as if we have a lot in common, Pat. Since only about 10 percent of ALS cases start in the diaphragm, it would be great to chat with you. Are you on Facebook?

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Gary
