He truely is amazing. Reminds me of Ray. Before he was diagnosed, he once worked at the local Childrens Hospital. He would hang out with the kids as much as possible, as he has always loved kids. He saw what cancer and other horrible diseases and illnesses did to those kids.
Since his diagnosis, he often refers to them, saying " I lived 43 years with perfect health. I had a life. Most of those kids didnt even have a chance. If they can fight, so can I." Its often helpful to think of situations that are worse than your own, to keep yourself in check and to keep fighting, because as horrible as ALS is, it probably could be worse.
