Have any of you had one of these for weight loss prior to being diagnosed with ALS? If you had was wondering if it was removed or how it is working out for you if you have a peg or Bulbar symptoms.

Rox, Just curious, do you have one? We are going to investigate Liposuction or something to try to get rid of my husbands big belly, as the pain it is creating in his lower back is almost unbearable.

I do have one and am considering it to be taken out. The Neuro said he did not want me to lose weight and it does stop me from beiong able to eat normal amounts of food and food gets stuck often. My concern is later on down the road will it become more of a problem. The dr. said if an endoscope can pass through it, it could stay in but I do plan to have the fluid removed form it soon.
