Here she is, Matt's little girl, Heidi. She's been to the vet, had her shots, got a bath and nails clipped, explored parts of the house and the yard, has already hidden her frog toy, and is napping. She's very calm and seems very well mannered for having lived chained to a pole in the yard.

Any guesses on her heritage? She's 18 pounds and needs to gain a few.

Golden lab
 
She's beautiful. I think I'm seeing alot of Golden Retriever in her.
 
A Labrador bumped uglies with a golden retriever.....
 
LOL--well, she really woke up when she saw the squirrels, so I'm adding maybe a big of Beagle in with the Lab, Retriever, and Sweetheart. Yes, we will have to raise the level on the back yard fence!

I agree with you nuts, beagle or small type dog in there somewhere, her paws don't look big enough for all big dog ancestors.
Nikki is so right...look at those loving, gentle eyes...
I think Heidi has found the perfect home, no wonder matt was smitten straight away.

She screamed beagle at me on first look, but obviously has much else.

Hi nuts...I also wonder if there is some spaniel in her? Her snout and ears remind of my childhood dog Emma, who was crossed with some blow-in father and cocker spaniel mum.

How gorgeous are they? A new poochie pic for my screensaver. Bet Heidi is in charge...she may be new but I reckon she knows what belongs to her!
