New avatar and story behind it

It may be hard to tell but it is a snowdrop. As many of you know I live in the Northeast and we have had a terrible winter. Near my door I have a little snow drop that appears faithfully in late February That area was covered by several feet of snow then so I thought it would skip this year but I returned from my research trip to find the snow melted from that area and the brave little snow drop, a little battered but there even as more snow is coming. A metaphor for all us PALS as we fight on

Thanks for sharing your picture with us Nikki! What a wonderful metaphor for all of us. Spring brings hope...and hope springs eternal. We may be under many feet of "snow", but for now we're still alive!
