Get Real
There may be help coming for some who post on the DIHALS Forum… and others.

Doctors are getting a new way to diagnose Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Government advisors say it is time to replace that hated name too, to show it is real and a debilitating disease.

The Institute of Medicine’s (IOM) choice of a new name would be Systematic Exertion Intolerance Disease or SEID. SEID has three core symptoms… fatigue (limb weakness), post exertion worsening and sleep deprivation, following those is anxiety and orthostatic intolerance or what is called… “Brain Fog.”

And... guess what anxiety causes? Hint; it begins with an "F" but ever so often posted as a "T". :)

The IOM is asking the government to develop a specific medical billing code.

Thanks for the news, Al.

I wonder when we finally understand CFS, Fibro, BFS, etc how many different underlying causes there will be for all this.

I hate it when I don't get it :-(

I give up. What is it?

Oh... is it TWITCHES?

F = fasciculations
T = twitches

?

Is this a guessing game?

Ok, guess I need to make it clear... anxiety can cause psychosomatic symptoms which include "F"asciculations or as so many call them..."T"witches.

woohoo I win!
