Last month i think it was i posted about incapacity benefit changing...see thread further down this forum.
Everyone no matter what illness and disability or how long they have had it are being assesed for the new change over benefit.
I have heard and seen on tv horror stories of people who are clearly disabled being told by ATOS who are working on behalf of works and pensions that they could work...therefor not getting new benefit.
One such story was a severely disabled young girl with cerebal palsy needing 24hr care told she could work.
I filled in my form and have been waiting and worrying since about going for a medical to see if i qualify...........well,today i got a call from DWP and the lady said i dont need to go for medical and have automatically qualified due to all previous medical information and examination.
It feels like a big weight has been lifted.
