If you notice, at the end, the newscaster notes that Eunice was appointed sheriff after Red's death. I'm sure there was very little crime in the county after that, at all! You didn't cross Eunice, at least us young'uns didn't! :mrgreen:

No. My daddy didn't tell me about it til the day before he left to go. It would have been difficult for us to go, anyway, and my dad knew that.

My Granddaddy was the best. He really did care about people and their problems. If you could have have seen the jail! Those guys had it good! Eunice cooked up country breakfast, dinner and sup for those "jailbirds." They had it good.

But, everybody knew not to cross Eunice!
